About us

Built tough.
Installed right.

That line is not marketing. It is the argument we have with ourselves on every job: the part is only as good as the fitment behind it.

A Honeydew workshop, not a parts counter

Accessory Zone 4x4 Centre opened in Honeydew in 2023. Plenty of places will sell you a bull bar. Fewer will tell you that the one you are asking about does not clear your model's radar sensor, or that the lift kit you saw online will make your loaded bakkie ride like a wheelbarrow.

We would rather have that conversation before the job than after it. So we ask what you drive, what you carry and where you take it — then quote what actually suits.

How we work

Four things we do not compromise on

Spec it around the vehicle

Same model, different job. A double cab that tows a caravan every December needs a different rear spring to one that runs empty all week. We ask about load, towing and terrain before we put a kit on the quote — it is the single biggest reason people end up unhappy with suspension.

Wire it properly

Every light, winch and accessory goes on its own fused, relayed circuit off the battery with a switched trigger. It takes longer than splicing into a convenient feed, and it is the difference between an accessory that lasts and a loom that melts.

Respect the safety systems

Airbag sensors, crash structures, parking sensors and radar cruise are all designed around the factory bumper. Bar work goes on so those systems still do their job — and if a part cannot be fitted without compromising them, we will say so rather than take the money.

Finish the job

Trim clips replaced, not forced. Torque settings checked. Panel gaps set. Nothing left rattling. The detailing studio next door means a vehicle can also leave clean, which is a better way to hand something back.

Under one roof

Hardware on one side, finish on the other

Most 4x4 shops stop at the hardware. We run a wrap bay and a detailing studio alongside the fitment side, which means one booking can cover a bull bar, a set of lights, smash-and-grab film and a full detail — instead of three businesses and three weeks.

It also means fleet customers can have vehicles kitted, branded and protected in the same place, to the same standard, on the same invoice.
